India’s Minister of State for Defence, Shri Sanjay Seth, will lead the Indian delegation at the 17th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), set to take place from May 20 to 24, 2025, in Langkawi, Malaysia. This biennial event is one of the largest and most significant maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing the rearmost advancements in defence technology and promoting transnational cooperation.
An Indian Pavilion will be established at LIMA 2025, inaugurated by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth. This kiosk will feature participation from several prominent Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), including Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, BEML, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and Gliders India Limited, along with leading private defence companies. These associations will display India’s growing defence manufacturing capabilities and technological moxie.
India and Malaysia share a strong and diverse relationship that has grown to include several strategic areas, especially defence and security. Both countries are committed to deepening their cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established during the Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit to India in 2024.
Established in 1991, LIMA has grown as a premier platform for the maritime and aerospace diligence in the Asia- Pacific region. India’s active participation in LIMA 2025 underscores its rising elevation as a crucial player in the global defence assiduity and its fidelity to fostering transnational defence collaboration.
